BIOGRAPHY

Fumi Nakamura was born in Tokyo, Japan. She started studying the piano at the age of 6 and the violin at 10. Fumi graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (Geidai) where she obtained her bachelor degree. Later she obtained Master degrees in both Concert and Orchestra at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne, Switzerland. Meanwhile she was an academy player of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Geneva. She is currently a member of Sinfonietta de Lausanne and also playing in several orchestras both in Japan and Switzerland as substitute violinist. 

She studied with Chikashi Tanaka, Takashi Urakawa, Natsmi Tamai, Gérard Poulet, Oleg Krysa, Pierre Amoyal, Francesco De Angelis and Bartłomiej "Bartek" Nizioł. 

東京生まれ。慶應義塾女子高等学校を卒業後、東京藝術大学音楽学部器楽科卒業。スイス・ローザンヌ高等音楽院にてコンサート科およびオーケストラ科のマスター・ディプロムを取得。スイス・ロマンド管弦楽団のアカデミー生として、シャルル・デュトワ氏とのアメリカツアーを含む多数の演奏会に出演。

現在はスイスに拠点を置き、日本やスイス各地のプロフェッショナル・オーケストラでの客演をしている。

田中千香士、浦川宜也、玉井菜採、ジェラール・プーレ、オレグ・クリサ、ピエール・アモイヤル、フランチェスコ・アンジェリス、バルテック・二ジョルの各氏に師事。
